Hiking tours: Leaving the capital opens your mind!

Well, as usual the capital is something different... So, we invite you to see the “real Lithuania”. A short bus transfer will bring us directly to the impressive nature resorts, will give you an insight view to Lithuanian mythic – you will see the rare holy oak forests. Or combine a view on the Lithuanian lake lands with the European Centre Art museum. Perfect if you do not take the time to go the National Parks.

(I). Monday - Back in the USSR – by bicycle to the TV tower!

The unique opportunity to see by yourself how many traces the Empire of Evil (© Ronald Reagan, President of the USA) left in Vilnius. Our competent help will open your eyes.

The tour takes us out of the centre visiting buildings with a glorious Communist past uphill to the 326.5 metre (1071 feet) high Television Tower, built 1974-1980. It is a special occasion to visit the Lazdynai district, awarded the Lenin Prize for All Union Architectural Design in 1974 for being the most beautiful modular house district in the whole USSR…

Just crossing the city border we enter a different world: wooden village, pure rivers – and the spirits of the past.

Our trip takes us to one of old holy oak forests of the pagan Baltic faith. And on a hiking trip along the river we meet the nature and the unknown stories of the local residents. And finally you may be granted with a mug of Lithuanian beer!

(III.) Wednesday. All sides of Vilnius – by bicycle!

There is much more to Vilnius than the Old Town, and this tour will help you to discover the hidden gems of the city. The tour would include the elegant St. Peter and Paul Church by Pope John Paul II square in Antakalnis; the Soviet residential area and former military base in Žirmūnai; and the truly romantic wooden architecture of Šnipiškės. Villages within the city - in the shaddow of the new sky scrapers.

(IV.) Thursday. Nature & Art by foot!

Still within the city there is – as I am convinced – one of the most beautiful lakes in whole Lithuania – the Green Lake. Lets take a breath and surround it by food.

And for the cultural education we'll bring you to one of the biggest open air art expositions in Europe: the Centre of Europe park.

(V.) Friday The real bike feeling: A manor house, a river and an ancient forest

Grab a bike and we'll take you on a trip to the Lithuanian nature. A prepared bike track for the whole family will open your mind with views and bewitched forests... And we will cross the interwar border between Poland and Lithuania. More you will only know when you join us ...
